
Pride is always an exciting time in New York, and 2025 is bringing a jam-packed lineup of fun and meaningful events all across the state. Highlights include the iconic NYC Pride March, illumination of Niagara Falls in Pride colors, and Pride Night with the Syracuse Mets. At these and other Pride events in New York, LGBTQ New Yorkers and visitors will come together again in the birthplace of the modern movement to show love for each other, for the community, and for New York! Kick off the season of Pride in the Hudson Valley on the Walkway Over the Hudson! Start the morning off with a rainbow-hued fun run/walk over the Walkway or grab your binoculars for Queer Wings + Wild Things Pride Birding excursion. In the afternoon, pop by community festivals on either side of the bridge and get your four-legged family in on the Pride celebration with a Pet Pawrade with prizes for the best looks! Be sure to stay for the memorable main event, the Pride Procession, where one Rainbow and one Trans flag will parade from each side of the Walkway and meet in the middle. New this year, Pride in the Sky has partnered with Heritage of Pride, the producer of New York City Pride, to organize a special Pride Ride aboard Metro-North Railroad, leaving from Grand Central Terminal. Celebrate Pride all month long and beyond in Buffalo! Start things off on May 27 with a 1.8-mile Pride Fun Run in Delaware Park with the Buffalo Front Runners/Walkers. Then, on May 30, witness one of the Pride flag raisings throughout Niagara County including Niagara Falls and Artpark. Later that night, head to Banshee Irish Pub and Bar for the fourth annual Kick-Off to Pride Party (21+), featuring music by “International Party Host”, Sylus DiCoach, drag performances, food, dancing, a photo booth, and more. Line up along Elmwood for Buffalo’s biggest and most colorful parade, the Buffalo Pride Parade on June 1 at 11AM! Keep the Pride vibes going and snag tickets for Pride at Terminal B on June 28 with performances from Bob the Drag Queen and Rebecca Black. A portion of the proceeds from the event will support essential healthcare programs and services that Evergreen Health provides to Western New York’s LGBTQIA2S+ community as well as other community-based initiatives. Potsdam is celebrating their third annual Pride Festival with a weekend full of events honoring diversity, equality, and the LGBTQ community! Taking place at Ives Park, there will be live performances all day long, including a family-friendly drag show, as well as local vendors, food, and activities. Don’t miss out on other fun events throughout the day like Pride Yoga in the park, a Pride pet prize for best looks, and more! June 14, 11AM-4PM, free.
Bring your chair or blanket, sit back, and enjoy an evening of community celebration against the stunning backdrop of Planting Fields. Activities start at 5pm with food trucks, a create-your-own flower crown, corsage, or boutonniere station, and a typewriter poet, who will type up custom poems on the spot, made just for you! At 5:30pm, gather up for welcome remarks and a special message from Owen Gilbo, LGBTQ+ advocate and ADA Coordinator for NYS Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. Be sure to stick around for a conversation on identity, coming of age, and queer storytelling with authors June Gervais and Forsyth Harmon, moderated by Councilwoman Marsha Silverman. Southern Finger Lakes Pride is getting ready to take over Market Street with a joyous celebration that promises to be bigger and better than ever. The colorful weekend kicks off June 13 with a flag raising at Centerway Square followed by a Pride House Party. The Pride Festival takes place on June 14 and features art everywhere from window painting to live art demonstrations, and live performances in honor of this year’s theme, “Blissfully Queer.” This year SOFLX Pride will also be holding their first annual Cake Walk! Other events include an unforgettable Fairy Drag Parent workshop for teens 13-17 who want to learn the art of drag. Main event Saturday, June 14, 11 AM – 5 PM, free.

Binghamton is going all out for their 20th anniversary Pride celebration, kicking things off with a ceremonial flag raising at City Hall at noon on June 7. Bring your own picnic blankets or lawn chairs, and a to-go lunch from home or a nearby restaurant to enjoy while listening to live entertainment during Pride Palooza at Otsiningo Park on June 14. Local food vendors will also be at the venue and fireworks will cap off the day’s events in Downtown Binghamton! Don’t miss other exciting events including Pride Day (June 28) at Ross Park Zoo and Pride Night (June 26) with Binghamton Rumble Ponies Baseball. Dates and prices vary.

All are welcome at Washington Park in Albany on June 7 as In Our Own Voices hosts Say It Loud! BI POC Pride. The event recognizes the contributions, resilience, and struggles of LGBTQIA+ Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the Capital Region through music, food, and entertainment, including a DJ set from headliner and first double crown winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race Monét X Change. A Pride Month Kick Off BBQ is also being held on May 30, featuring a fun, casual evening with music, complimentary food, drag performances, and chances to win fun prizes! Jamestown and Chautauqua County are planning an exciting lineup of events for Pride this year. Start the month right on May 31 at the kick-off rally and flag raising ceremony at Tracy Plaza. The following weekend, head to the Jamestown Historic District for the official Pride Festival! Hosted in cooperation with the Jamestown Public Market, there will be local vendors, live music, drag and other performances, educational resources, and more. Keep the party going with a performance from Silent Legacy (Jamestown’s beloved Melissa Etheridge tribute band) at Wicked Warren’s at 6pm! Saturday, June 7, festival 10 AM-4 PM.
Ithaca Pride is celebrating queer joy and queer power with a weekend of events that includes Rainbow Fest presented by Ithaca Underground at the Nocturnal Cafe, an opening ceremony and all ages dance party at the Bernie Milton Pavilion at the Ithaca Commons, and Pride in the Park, the weekend’s main event featuring a vendor and resource fair, food vendors, performances, and other exciting activities in DeWitt Park. A signature Capital Region event returns for 2025 with the Capital Pride Parade & Festival, one of the largest Pride celebrations in the Northeast! The parade kicks off on State Street at 11:30am on June 8, followed by a festival in historic Washington Park featuring live music, theatrical performances, and more. Plus, Capital Pride events are happening throughout the month of June, starting with a Pride Kick-Off Block Party on May 30 featuring food, music, libations, and chances to win fun prizes. Get ready to celebrate in Woodstock for their second annual Pride weekend! The party kicks off with a flag raising at the Woodstock Town Hall on Friday, June 6 with musician Nova Darkstar and a kick off party at Station Bar. On Sunday, the parade will step off at the Comeau Upper Lot beginning with a ribbon cutting and head towards Colony Woodstock, where the festivities continue with a post parade party. The 35th Annual Long Island Pride Parade and Festival is heading back to Huntington! The festivities kick off with the grand parade starting at Clinton Avenue and Main Street and proceeding down Main Street to Heckscher Park where the fun continues with PrideFest featuring live entertainment from local performers and DJs, vendor booths, and great food. Celebrate Pride in the Thousand Islands all weekend long and beyond! Events kick off Friday, June 20 at the historic Paddock Arcade with The Paddock Club supplying food and drink specials, followed by a drag race, where performers like Amber Skyy will pop into Watertown bars. Get an early start on Saturday with a flag raising at City Hall. The event begins at 10 AM, but arrive early–this draws a crowd. At noon, head to Stone Street for all kinds of Pride festivities downtown like Mimosas at Paddock Mansion and a block party with DJ Kyle House. Later, the entertainment continues with three performances from Miss Amber Skyy’s drag show, one family-friendly show at 3pm and two adult shows at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. End the night with fireworks at 10:15 PM! On Sunday, wrap up Watertown Pride weekend with the Pride Color run at 10 AM and a Tea Dance at Garland City Beer Works from 2 PM- 5 PM, a local LGBTQIA+-owned brewery. Looking for even more ways to celebrate Pride in the Thousand Islands? Stick around for River Pride the following weekend, with celebrations taking place all along the St. Lawrence River in communities like Cape Vincent, Clayton, and Alexandria Bay. Celebrate Pride in Central New York! The jam-packed month begins with a Pride flag raising at City Hall on May 31. On June 5, the Syracuse Mets show their Pride at their annual Pride Night at NBT Bank Stadium, where the first 1,000 fans receive a Syracuse Mets Pride jersey, plus everyone can take advantage of Dollar Thursday deals. Line up along Syracuse’s Solar and West Kirkpatrick Streets on June 21 at 11 AM for the grand celebration as the parade makes its way to Progress Park. Everyone is invited to celebrate pride at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world! The exciting month of events kick off with a Pride Eve celebration on May 31, where the Cathedral will be illuminated with traditional rainbow lights and you’ll get to enjoy a cocktail hour, tour the cathedral, visit craft stations, listen to a live performance from Greedy Peasant, and more. Other events include a Pride Family Picnic (June 14), free Juneteenth performance from the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus (June 20), and Pride Evensong from LGBTQ+ Composers and the Cathedral Community Choir, and more! In the heart of Greenwich Village in Christopher Park, visitors can find the Stonewall National Monument, commemorating the events of the Stonewall Uprising of June 28, 1969 and the birth of the modern day LGBTQ civil rights movement that stemmed from there. Make sure to stop for a drink at the Stonewall Inn, the still-operating LGBTQ bar right across the street from the monument. Your trip isn’t complete until you visit the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center. It’s the first National Park visitor center dedicated to LGBTQ+ history, located right behind the Inn, and will feature immersive experiences such as tours, lectures, exhibitions, and visual art displays.
Celebrate Pride in the historic neighborhood of Harlem in New York City. This year the festival is celebrating its 15th Anniversary and festival-goers will be entertained all day long with live performances, celebrity hosts, and DJs to get everyone up and dancing. This is an event for the whole family. Food and retail vendors will be on hand and there’ll be face painting and a Drag Queen Story Hour. While it’s a day of celebration, Harlem Pride will also be providing practical resources for the community; attendees will find referrals for health, legal, and financial services. Medical testing and health screenings will also be available. Saturday, June 28, 12-6 PM, free.

NYC Pride March is back for its 55th year with the theme “Rise Up: Pride in Protest.” The March kicks off at 11 AM at 25th Street and 5th Avenue on June 29. NYC PrideFest, the LGBTQ street fair, is back and not to be missed! Stop by 4th Avenue between 13th and 9th Streets in Manhattan for musical performances, entertainers, food, activities, and Pride gear from unique vendors. Lots of NYC Pride events are taking place in the days leading up to and following the Pride March and PrideFest, including Youth Pride (June 28), a lively celebration to empower LGBTQIA+ youth at the South Street Seaport Museum. Rainbow City Pride (The Official Pride of Niagara Falls) will take over Old Falls Street for a grand celebration featuring drag performers, family friendly activities, merchants, and loads of local vendors and food trucks selling plenty of goodies. After the street festival, head to one of the Rainbow City after parties at a variety of local establishments (to be announced). Wind down the evening at Niagara Falls State Park, where the falls will be lit up in Pride colors and fireworks will cap off the night! June 28, 1PM-6PM, free.
The Adirondacks will come alive with Pride in Saranac Lake’s beautiful Riverside Park for the return of Tri-Lakes Pride on June 29! All are invited to this family-friendly event to stand together side by side to promote diversity in all its aspects, love, acceptance, respect and unity. The festivities kick off with a parade up Broadway to the park where the celebration continues with vendors and exhibits from across the Tri-Lakes, raffles, guest speakers, and music. Sunday, June 29, 12 PM – 4 PM.

Each year on the afternoon of July 4, drag queens from Cherry Grove and the Pines gather for the celebration and recreation of the very first Fire Island Invasion! To honor the original summer of 1976 invasion, the party will start at the Cherry Grove Hotel’s Ice Palace Bar. Then, after parading through Cherry Grove, the queens will board a ferry over to the Pines, where they’ll be greeted by thousands. Watch the invasion from Cherry’s on the Bay’s Love Boat or head to the Pines for the grand arrival. Afterward, party with famous guest DJs at the Pavilion, Pool Deck Sip-N-Twirl, and The Blue Whale. Celebrate the accomplishments and history of the LGBTQ+ community at one of New York State’s largest Pride festivals north of New York City! The Rochester Pride Parade steps off at 11AM on South Avenue and the fun continues at Highland Park with ROC Pride Fest. There’ll be food trucks, wine and beer for sale, vendor tables, games and activities, and a designated play area for kids. Expect live music all day long, complete with surprise performances. Find even more chances to celebrate, including a Pride bike ride (July 13), picnic (July 13), and events at the Seneca Park Zoo (June 14) and Seabreeze Amusement Park (July 12). Celebrate Pride at the Great New York State Fair this summer! This year’s fair takes place from August 20-September 1, and August 22 is officially designated as Pride Day. There will be activities all day long including a Pride flag raising ceremony, resource fair, parade, and LGBTQ+ Pride Booth, featuring free literature, professional resources, and an array of community programs.
