It’s the “Rock the Country” music festival all over again. Almost as soon as the lineup was announced for next month’s “Freedom 250” concert on the National Mall, someone said they weren’t actually playing it. On social media, Morris Day denied headlining the fest” “Contrary to rumors Morris Day & the Time will not be performing at the ‘Great American State Fair,’” the statement read. “It’s A No For Me😎,” he captioned it.
So who is it a yes for? Performers announced in the “first wave” include Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, Milli Vanilli, Bret Michaels, Martina McBride, and Young MC. Apparently Young doesn’t “know how” bad a look this is. Organizers maintain that the Great American State Fair and Freedom 250 are nonpartisan events. Nonpartisan events that will have something called “MAHA Mondays,” but go off.
