One more stunt cast for the road? Okay, maybe two. Molly Ringwald and June Squibb are joining Yellowjackets for the final season. According to Deadline, Ringwald will play Van’s mom, a recovering alcoholic doing her best to make amends. That’s always the hardest step, isn’t it? It hasn’t been announced whether Ringwald is playing Van’s mom in the past or present, but given that Adult Van (Lauren Ambrose) is only 10 years younger than Ringwald, we’re hoping for the former. Also because Adult Van won’t exactly be around to act opposite Ringwald, if you catch our drift. June Squibb has also landed a role in Yellowjackets s4, but just what she’s doing is not yet known. We know she can do stunts, from Thelma.

Series creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson announced that Yellowjackets’ fourth season would be its last back in October. Originally the show talked a lot about their five-year plan, but it seems things swerved somewhere along the way. At this point they’re running out of legends of ‘80s and ‘90s Hollywood to murder. It seems like the Yellowjackets’ rescue and attempted reacclimation to the world will be a big part of the final year. “These girls have changed remarkably, for better or for worse, in their time out there, especially because of their age. They’re so malleable to begin with, and they’ve become very different people,” Lyle told the Los Angeles Times. “And to see those people readjust to a world that is almost — I wouldn’t say insignificant to them; it’s obviously very significant — foreign to them now in a way that we think would be really ripe for storytelling and to dig deeper into their characters.”
