
President of baseball operations David Stearns is staying busy
The Mets are finalizing a deal to acquire two-time All-Star closer Ryan Helsley from the St. Louis Cardinals, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The news broke hours after the team announced they acquired reliever Tyler Rogers from the San Francisco Giants.
Helsley, 30, appeared in 36 games this season while recording a 3.00 ERA and 41 strikeouts.
