I am absolutely overjoyed with my new shaved ice machine. I make myself a cup of flavored shaved ice at least once a day, sometimes it’s my lunch! I haven’t been able to be consistent with the texture of the ice. Sometimes it’s the yummy shaved snowy texture and other times it’s more snow cone texture. Either way..it’s still yum!
You must use the ice from the round cups provided. I tried just regular ice and it works but is not a fine texture ice, it’s very crunchy. If you like to just chomp ice, that might work for you. I have found that the 12 oz. Styrofoam cups are a perfect fit for this machine.
I’ve become quite the pro at making the perfect cup. Fill the cup a quarter of the way up, tap the cup on the counter, and add a little flavoring, keep doing this until filled. Shaved ice, tap cup, flavor shaved ice, tap cup, flavor, and so on. Doing this method, one round block of ice will make one full 12 0z cup.
I purchased the Hawaiian ice brand syrups wedding cake, dreamsycle & Bahama mama…love them all! 😋 Just buy it, you’ll love it! ❤️
