Antaeus Theatre Company has announced three deeply resonant and powerful works for its 2025-26 season at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale.
The Antaeus season opens with William Shakespeare’s rollicking adventure Cymbeline, directed by Artistic Director Nike Doukas (The Tempest, The Hothouse) set in the American West in the 1800s. When Imogen defies her father, Cymbeline, and sets off on a treacherous journey, she encounters rugged landscapes, mistaken identities, and daring escapades. Featuring original music, this sweeping tale brings Shakespeare’s poetry to the wild frontier. (October 18 through November 17, 2025; previews begin October 12)
Next, Antaeus presents Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, directed by Oánh Nguyễn. This gripping American classic explores the deep bonds of family and the weight of past decisions. In the aftermath of World War II, the Keller family’s seemingly stable world unravels when long-buried secrets come to light. A moving portrait of love, loss, and responsibility, All My Sons continues Antaeus’s ongoing exploration of Miller’s works. This play follows past productions of The Man Who Had All the Luck and The Crucible. (February 28 through March 30, 2026; previews begin February 22)
The Antaeus Theatre Company season concludes with Sophokles’s Antigone. This production is newly translated and adapted by Kenneth Cavander (The Curse of Oedipus) and directed by Andy Wolk. Antigone’s decision to oppose her uncle Kreon’s edict and bury her brother’s body sets into motion a series of events that will challenge the bonds of family, law, and justice. This Greek tragedy delves deep into the clash between duty to the state and loyalty to one’s kin. (May 16 through June 15, 2026; previews begin May 10)

“Our 2025-26 season brings together three extraordinary plays that illuminate the philosophical and moral struggles as families question their past and confront the future,” said Antaeus artistic director Nike Doukas and Antaeus producing executive director Ana Rose O’Halloran in a joint statement. “Audiences will experience these timeless stories through the depth, skill, and passion of our renowned acting company, whose artistry will bring new life to these classics on our stage.”
